4.How our AI uses your data

To answer you, a Genie sends your message, the recent chat and the instructions it needs to an AI provider, and gets the reply back. Our providers are listed in the next section.

We don’t use your chats to train AI models. Our AI providers process them only to give you an answer, under their business terms.

AI can make mistakes. Please check important answers, especially about health, money, tax, law or immigration.

5.Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, and only as much as they need:

We may also share data when the law requires it, to protect people’s safety, or as part of selling or merging the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

6.Data processed outside India

Some providers, such as Anthropic and Groq, process data outside India. The DPDP Act allows this except to countries the Government of India restricts. We choose providers with strong security and contract terms.

7.How long we keep it

  • Account, website and chat data: while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise it within 30 days.
  • Voice recordings: not stored at all.
  • Payment and invoice records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually up to 8 years.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We keep a note that you unsubscribed so we don’t email you again.

8.Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

  • See a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Correct or update it.
  • Delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent at any time. This doesn’t affect what we did before, and some features may stop working.
  • Nominate someone to use these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
  • Complain to our Grievance Officer, and then to the Data Protection Board of India.

When you are signed in, you can download your data and delete your account yourself under Profile, Privacy. For anything else, write to the Grievance Officer below. We reply within 30 days.

9.How we protect it

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords only as one-way hashes, encrypt your own AI keys, and limit who on our team can see personal data. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

10.Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your work. See our Cookie Policy.

11.Changes to this policy
